What is single layer ceramic capacitor?

A single-layer ceramic capacitor is a capacitor formed by coating or printing metal electrodes on both sides using a ceramic dielectric as an insulating layer. Its basic principle is: when a voltage is applied between two electrodes, charge will accumulate on the electrodes, thereby forming an electric field in the ceramic medium, thereby storing electrical energy. The high dielectric constant of ceramic materials allows single-layer ceramic capacitors to have high capacitance values. By controlling the voltage across the capacitor, the storage and release of charge can be realized, thereby playing the role of filtering, coupling, and bypassing in the circuit.
